She’s Having A Baby

She’s Having A Baby is a lightweight comedy from John Hughes that centers around a newly married couple trying to make it in the world. Kevin Bacon and Elizabeth McGovern star as the couple who overcome obstacles like getting a place to live, getting a job and having a baby.

The movie’s situations feel real, and the characters are down-to-earth and engaging. Although the jokes don’t always work, the performances are good and many will probably be able to relate. Overall, not as good of a movie as it maybe could have been, or as successful as “Planes, Trains and Automobiles” was, but it still has its moments.
